Fine Art by Carolyn Rotter

About the Artist

Born and raised on Long Island, New York, Carolyn demonstrated her artistic inclinations at a young age. She was dubbed the "arty child" by her parents. It was not surprising to friends and family when she received her college degrees in art. Upon graduation, she accepted a teaching position in a local school district on Long Island where she taught art for more than 30 years. In addition to teaching youngsters she left her mark by painting large murals on the walls of the schools. These days Carolyn continues to paint, although on a considerably smaller scale.

Today the Rotters call Sanford, North Carolina home. There she maintains a studio where she works in watercolor, oil, and acrylic paints. Her works have been accepted into many juried competitions and have garnered numerous awards both in New York and North Carolina. Included in private and corporate collections throughout the United States, her paintings have received much acclaim. Currently, Carolyn’s paintings can be seen at Hollyhocks Art Gallery in Pinehurst, North Carolina.
